The Honest Widow: Jordan Harrold LCSW

Jordan is the owner, clinical director and therapist for Harrold Counseling and Wellness. Born and raised in Winston-Salem, Jordan is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker who has been practicing since 2009. Jordan became widowed at the age of 32 when her husband, Michael, died unexpectedly. Their son at the time was 6. This journey encouraged Jordan to begin to serve in a focused way to help others in addition to private practice.  She has served as a mental health consultant and volunteer for the Modern Widows Club, a nonprofit serving widows all over the world. She serves on the board of directors for Magnolia Harbor Care farm in Tennessee, whose focus is providing sanctuary to rescued animals and providing therapy for people who have been through trauma, experiencing loss and traumatic grief.  She is also currently pursuing her Doctoral Degree in Clinical Social Work and Leadership from the University of Tennessee.  Jordan enjoys working with all ages, but primarily adults, specifically women. Her areas of specialty include but are not limited to binge eating disorder, body image, anxiety disorders and grief, specifically widowhood.

Jordan is repartnered and lives at home with her husband, BJ, Caleb who is now almost 12, their 3 dogs and 2 cats. She enjoys reading fiction, spending time near water of any kind, being crafty, spending time with friends and family, and attending her own therapy appointments.
